Swim Diapers

water wear® swim diaper covers are waterproof and reusable for leak-proof protection in the pool. When combined with Pampers Splashers®, your baby is sure to have secure protection in the pool.

Swim Diapers are not just a matter of preventing embarrassing accidents; they are central to an important health issue involving waterborne illnesses called recreational waterborne illnesses, or RWIs. Many public health officials require or recommend the use of approved swim diapers.

Center for Disease Control Recommends

Protect your family against Recreational Water Illnesses (RWIs) with these tips:

  • Do not allow your child to swim with diarrhea symptoms.
  • Make sure swim diaper fits snugly around your child’s waist and legs to prevent leakage.
  • Be sure to take restroom breaks often.
  • Change diapers in a restroom, not by the poolside.
  • Wash your child with soap and water before swimming.
  • Do not swallow pool water.

Do not rely on swim diapers alone to prevent transmission of diseases such as Crypto Sporidium (Crypto). If you child has an accident in the pool, remove your child from the water immediately.
